After having studied the Chinese Language and its Culture at the University of Leiden, the Netherlands, I soon moved to Beijing, China for more study and work. Altogether I have lived and worked in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou for 12 years. Only in 2002 did I come back to Europe. During all those years in China I have always been attracted by the style and simplicity of Chinese furniture and soon I started collecting some of it. This hobby has grown into the business which you are looking at at this moment: 'A Shop with a Character'. I hope to be able to meet you soon to discuss the beauty of these Chinese Products!
